RBC Wealth Management Redesign 


Project Summary

RBC Wealth Management hired Havas to help with design strategy and a new vision for their network of worldwide websites, including Canada, US, UK, and APAC. I was Associate Director in a team of 4-6 people, client-facing, and helped lead the team.

In phase 1 we conducted in-person and virtual interviews, research, and workshops for each country. We delivered a comprehensive strategy deck outlining our research findings, vision, design principles, and MVP solution.

In phase 2 we started wireframing and designing for all four regions using Figma.

My core responsibilities included design, design strategy, mentoring junior designers, field research, prototyping, usability testing, and presenting/defending work to clients.

Some of the things we did over the course of the project:

  • UX/UI documentation

  • Competitive & Comparative analysis

  • Wireframes and hi-fidelity product designs

  • 20+ interviews with stakeholders and users

  • Multiple workshops with key stakeholders, some with 20+ people

  • Design research shareout deck



Design Research

We spent the first few weeks of the program immersing ourselves in the environment. We interviewed more than 20 individuals from the four regions at their desks to better understand their daily tasks and challenges.

We ran all-day interactive workshops with key stakeholders to create alignment amongst themselves and build empathy with their employees.

We took the insights gained from in-field research and the workshop and delivered an in-depth 160+ page design strategy deck to the client.

 

Wireframes and Designs

The team started wireframes and designs based on the outlined and approved design strategy. I helped oversee two UX designers as they worked collaboratively with our visual designers.
